Stopped by on my way home and placed a to-go order. I ordered the fried chicken..... While i waited for the order, i ordered a beer for the wait and some water. Beer was good... First time ive tryed it ... It was called Flight. The place was a calm and relaxing....watched the start of the ball game. The food only took 14 min to perfectly cook that much chicken...WOW. The bill for everything was under 20. When i got home and started eating the chicken was still HOT N CRISPY!!!!! Veggies seasoned and cooked perfectly. Salad had an abundance of cucumbers...my fav..WELL DONE I SAY!!!!!!! I'LL BE BACK!!!!!!!!

We hosted an event at Salt last month and everyone was very happy. The service was good and the owner really made everyone feel welcomed.

Just had dinner at Luna tonight with my daughter and had an amazing experience. The chicken is absolutely delicious and so is the tuxedo bomb. Our waitress was amazing and anticipated all our needs and even threw some cherries in my daughter sprite which she loved! Can’t recommend this place enough!

Went with my husband for Valentine’s day. We had a late dinner reservation, but they held a med-rare slice of prime rib for me. I got the prime rib special with grilled shrimp. And he got the fried chicken. The fried chicken could have fed us both! If you order the fried chicken, it takes about 25 minutes. Well worth the wait. Our waitress was wonderful.

Just flat outstanding. One issue was Google lists as Salt 251 but sign now says LUNA and phone answers LUNA. Anyway, had the fish, steak fries, coleslaw, Friday night LATE like 15 minutes before the grill closed and service was prompt, with a smile, and here we go, the fish-huge filet, beautiful light crispy batter, fabulous flavors. Tarter Sauce, I have to be one of the pickiest a__ when it comes to tarter sauce and I was floored, outstanding. And lastly the steak fries, some of the best I have had, 1st, they were cooked properly and done on the inside, to many places fail here with steak fries, Luna nails it!!!. Now, how often does a manager or owner come up to you after you are almost done to ask how we were, our thoughts on the food, little conversation and I was VERY pleased at the care of customers!!! Our server checked on us at least 3 or more times. Lastly, the prices were unreal and so competitive it is unbelievable. We will continue now to drive from Rockford once in a while now and visit for lunch or dinner. JUST FLAT 5 STAR ALL THE WAY. Keep it up please. Thank You.

This place deserves to be busy every day of the week! I've been stuck in town (Rochelle IL) for over 5 days and I've have most of the non-franchised restaurants in town. This blows every other place on the map out the water with a double barrel shot gun. SALT 251 is hands down the cleanest place, the classiest decor, the nicest staff and best deal for your buck. Me and my partner walked here from the Comfort Inn in 0F weather, in snow (there is no Uber or shuttle) to come back here before we left because we were so impressed. That's a 2 mile walk. ALMOST all the dishes are hand made, from hand dipped chicken sandwiches to slow cooked cornedbeef brisket for the Ruben. You can tell who ever the head cook (more like chef) really cares for the food they make. They use good and fresh quality ingredients for everything we had. All for a really good price for the amount and quality you get. Drinks are at a really good price, beer on tap comes with a cold glass for 2.50(some seasonal sales)-5 (High AP ) and the bartender we had knew a lot about the types he was serving. He made my partner a white Russian and I drank a variety of seasonal beers. The decor is very nice; modern retro with clean lines and a dark interior with purple lighting that shows off the huge black stone bar that host most of the seating in the restaurant/bar. Every table is set with glass, no plastic to be seen. Both times I've been here smooth jazz is playing. This is a very nice place for a up scale first date, buissness meeting or relaxed meal. Pictures will not make justice for the effort that was put into the place. Bartenders/staff really cares as well, offered to take us back to the hotel. There isn't much going on in here so don't expect a riot when walking in but it was a very nice casual bar with lot of character developed from the people who work here.

This place was great. There wasn't alot of people there when we went (Sunday night). The was only one guy working the bar/eating area, but he was very attentive. The food was awesome. My burger was a good price for what I got and the chips and salsa that came with it was tasty! Check out this local gem!
